New Humanity supports 5 schools in Yangon and Taunggyi that host 545 children aged from 5 to 20 years.

In Yangon it supports the Myinthan Myo Oo Monastic School, that hosts 180  orphan children to which the possibility of attending primary school is given, and the Nan Oo Monastery Education School, that hosts children who lost one or both parents. In Taunggyi it supports the orphanage Brother Felice, that hosts 60 children, the Daw Gyi Daw Nge and Old People’s Home, that hosts 135 orphans, and the Holy Infant Jesus Home, that hosts 40 orphans, some of which are disabled.

Thanks to the distant supports, New Humanity can help these centres in their work, whose aim is to guarantee an untroubled life to these children, creating opportunities for their social inclusion and assuring them a sustainable future.

The project has the objective to promote children education, supplying them with didactic materials, encouraging the organization of educational, recreational and sport activities, offering scholarships and paying part of school expenditures. Thanks to this project it’s also possible to provide nutritional support and health care to every child. The schools organize courses of hygienic education for the teachers, assure the provision of essential medicines, guarantee appropriate treatments for disabled children and assure nutrition diets in order to prevent malnourishment.
